First of all, passionate
about improvisation… on the guitar!
We created and developed the GuitarScaler and have been selling it since 2009.
Initially, it was about better understanding how scales are structured on the guitar neck and how to understand tones and modes.
So we designed a system that illustrates this structure and, above all, that allows you to see how tones and modes fit together.
Very quickly, experienced and beginner guitarists loved this principle of a simple sliding scale to move from one tone to another to know where to place their fingers without making a wrong note.
Our team
Eric is the creator. He has as many fingers on the keyboard of his computer as on the neck of his guitar.
Marc is the teacher. His fingers very rarely leave his guitar. Even at night…
Florence is the chief administrator. We can’t really tell if she spends more time on her keyboard or her guitar.
Our mission
Improv only
Our mission is to get as many beginner guitarists as possible to start improvising.
We believe that improvisation is accessible to everyone, regardless of level or age.
When you start playing guitar, you also have to start playing the notes of the scales, little by little, to get your fingers and your brain used to it.
New!
To start improvising on the guitar, knowing a minimum of scales is essential and the GuitarScaler System is the ideal tool to make your life easier.
To become a “good” improviser, knowing the vocabulary and grammar rules of improvisation is the second step. And other learning techniques are necessary.
We have produced a training video in 12 modules to reach the semi-pro to pro level.
Our GUITAR JAM SESSION training is focused solely on improvisation:
Every week: 2 new Jams to play with 1 scale exercise + 2 short phrases to reproduce.
– 14 different styles of music
– Progression on all scales: penta (5 notes), blues (6 notes) and natural (7 notes)
– Progressive integration of playing effects and speed
– Targeting of notes (root, fourth, third, etc.)
“I think music heals us. It’s something that touches all of us. Improvisation is an explosive expression of humanity. It doesn’t matter what culture we come from or where we come from. Everyone is already improvising without knowing it.”
